Cebu is becoming a more popular choice for couples to exchange I do’s. Warm sun, the beach and most importantly family just draws kababayans from all over the world. Our US based couple returns to their roots to formalize their union with family and friends. Though not from Cebu, strong ties from Bohol pulled everyone to Shangri-La Mactan where the beautiful beachside reception dinner was held. The early afternoon ceremony was held at the Metropolitan Cathedral.

Virtually started from nothing our couple embarked on a journey that would take them to the pinnacle of success. Together through hard work, patience and sharp wits they were able to surmount the obstacles of putting up a review center- something they are passionate about. 25 years later they celabrated the milestone with a church wedding and a blast. After all, they have much to celebrate about.

Beauty and the geek. That’s what they say. She is a flight attendant with Qatar Airways while he is an Environmental Scientist. Cool! But then again, as they also say Love is blind so here we are celebrating the irrationality of love. If there is one thing they have in common its their passion for travel. Work takes them to every corner of the world. I wish i could do that often enough. So the wedding ends up in Cebu but the rest of their married life will be in Australia. Wow.

After working on a series of corporate videos last month which I can’t upload (read: confidentiality clause), I’m glad I’m back doing wedding SDE’s and pre-wedding shoots. Fil-Ams Karl & Sarah chose Cebu for their church wedding. Which is a great choice considering I’m based here among other things. Event planning by Tisha Cue; photography by Mark Cantalejo; Hair & Makeup by Wenwen Zaspa and wedding gown by Vera Wang. We mixed the pre-wedding shots taken early this week and gave it a dis-saturated look and then contrasted it with the more vibrant wedding shots. Enjoy! : )
